Students of Cuvu College from Nadroga in the western division were part of the sea of students that visited the 2023 National Agriculture Show at the Vodafone Arena in Suva today.

Year 11 Agriculture student Emitai Karatu who hails from Nadroga said it is worth the early morning ride up to Suva as he came to see what he has always taken interest in.

"In this show, I was able to see the various operations within the Ministry of Agriculture and Waterways and also saw different breeds of animals that are twice the size of livestock we have at home, the different research outcomes in crop and livestock and it is an eye-opener," he said.

Serua native Sitiveni Qarua said the visit has broadened his agriculture knowledge.

"What we learn in school is detailed in all the booths and we learn some more things like the suitable medicine for various diseases in crop and livestock and how citrus fruits are marcotted and also the clipping of hooves."

The duo are both keen to be Agriculture teachers as a career.
