Following the endorsement of the Regional Kava Standard Operating Procedure and the Regional Turmeric Standard at the CCNASWP17 meeting, which is currently underway at the Sheraton Fiji Resort in Nadi, the delegation participated in a field visit to gain insights into the value chain process of these key commodities.

The delegation visited Terra Wholefoods in Navakai Nadi, one of the leading exporters of high-quality fresh turmeric, sourced from local farms. They specialise in providing organic turmeric with high curcumin content, ensuring maximum health benefits and rich flavour.

In addition, they toured Healthy Foods Manufacturers Fiji PTE Ltd, located in Meiganiah, Nadi. Healthy Foods Manufacturers Fiji PTE Ltd is one of the leading food manufacturers of value added and frozen products for local and export markets. The company also exports premium quality kava every month.

This visit showed the progress of kava and turmeric projects, proving the proposal submitted to CCNASWAP17 is more than just a plan.
