PULSES TRAINING FOR VUMA VILLAGE

The Ministry of Agriculture and Waterways Research and Extension Division team conducted pulses and peanut awareness training at Vuma village in Levuka today.

40 participants from five different villages attended the training, which aimed to create an awareness on diversified cropping systems using pulses and growing short-term crops like peanuts to generate income.

The villagers took part in a practical training session that involved the hands-on planting of peanuts, providing them with direct experience in the field.
