Growers and exporters in Tailevu, Naitasiri and Rewa provinces, yesterday, attended the afternoon session of a series of workshops that is being conducted this week by the New Zealand Ministry of Primary Industries, Biosecurity Authority of Fiji and the Ministry of Agriculture and Waterways.
In yesterday’s afternoon session held at the Taiwan Technical Mission (TTM) Conference Room in Nausori, the ministry’s Deputy Secretary for Agricultural Development, Dr. Tekini Nakidakida said that to strengthen our agricultural sector, collaboration is not just important; it is vital.
“We must unite to enhance supply chains, broaden market access, and embrace sustainable farming practices. Achieving success in today’s fiercely competitive global marketplace hinges on the teamwork of growers, exporters, regulators, and industry leaders,” stressed Dr. Nakidakida.
"This workshop presents an invaluable opportunity to share data, exchange innovative ideas, and discover strategies to elevate our agricultural sector,” stated Dr. Nakidakida.
The session highlighted key topics such as emerging market trends, cutting-edge technologies, sustainable farming practices, and vital trade regulations.
He encouraged growers and exporters to take advantage of this opportunity and collaborate to advance our agricultural sector.
